In Episode 10, is another elimination episode where the team who manages to gain 8 votes first will all be safe, while the other team will face a team member’s elimination. The last episode 9’s elimination of Red Team’s Chen ZeXi really brought the whole Red Team’s mood down to an all-time low. Especially Xia ZhiGuang, who took it the hardest.
Just my two cents, but there was no reason why ZeShi should be eliminated in Episode 9! The Red Team’s performance was more entertaining than the White Team’s glitzy, razzle dazzle. Such a rigged show. No wonder towards the end, the Red Team considered themselves as the black horse/underdogs of the show.
In this episode, again there are three rounds: Round one – Theme “EXO” Stage Battle; Round two – Team Captain Battle; Round three – Legendary Stage Battle.
I love how the Red Team tackled “Call Me Baby” with such drive and determination. Amongst the two team’s EXO songs, the Red Team was tasked with the most difficult choreography for the song. I’ve watched EXO’s “Call Me Baby” MV many times and I will say that the Red Team did the song AND dance justice! Oh.My.God they totally did not cut corners and modified the choreography at all! They stuck to the original choreo and KILLED IT! Like every move they stuck to how it was in the original. Also great use of props to help with transitions. They look super good!
I feel so proud watching Xiao Zhan dance to “Call Me Baby. ” For someone with zero professional dance training and performance training, he really knocked it out of the ball park! Zhan Zhan, you’re simply amazing!!!!
A few things I want to say. It hits me in the feels watching Zhan Zhan tear up after Peng ChuYue’s solo performance. I feel like behind the scenes there were a lot of pressure on Yue Yue to put on the best performance of his life because so much was at stake since they are down to four members and it’s another elimination round. Zhan Zhan tearing up is like a silent “He’s done it. He really did it! So proud of him” reaction.
Ok, there’s an annoyance I want to pick. After the Red Team’s final performance, what irks me was what Hua Shao said to them. Like what was that speech telling them to pay attention to each other because someone will get eliminated??? It’s as if he’s hinting that another Red Team member will get eliminated again WITHOUT EVEN SEEING THE WHITE TEAM’S PERFORMANCE! Like HOW can he come up with such a bad assumption like that?!?!?! The Red Team doesn’t need any more anxiety. Sheesh!
Well, another example of how rigged this show is from the get-go.
And on the topic of elimination. Han MuBo from the White Team got eliminated.
