Xiao Zhan flew to Macau for soundcheck rehearsal on Sept 21 to prepare for The Greater Bay Area Film Concert 2024 happening on Sept 22. This time, Xiao Zhan sang three songs: the opening number group song “Heaven and Earth Dragon Scale”《天地龙鳞》; a duet with singer Karen Mok “The World Has A Lot Of People” 《这世界那么多人》, and a solo song “The Past Follows the Wind”《往事随风》。

Macau’s Xiao Fei Xias were all ready to watch the show and bring their cheers and support banners to meet Xiao Zhan!

Some memorable happenings that evening:

When Xiao Zhan came onto the stage for the opening number, the audience erupted in a thunderous roar that almost drowned out Zhan Zhan’s solo verse. 😂 Nobody could contain their excitement. Xiao Zhan is really loved by many!

Xiao Zhan was seated in the front row centre. The seating plan had Xiao Zhan share the same table with musical artist Ayunga, whom he had worked with before in 2019 on the singing variety show “Our Song,” singer and actress Wei Wei, and senior actor Du Jiang.

It was great to see Ayunga’s familiar face at the same table and to see Xiao Zhan chatting and bopping to the music.

Xiao Zhan was also greeted by Zhang Qi, whom he collaborated with at the 2021 Spring Festival on the rock song “To Everyone Who Knows My Name” 《给所有知道我名字的人》。 It’s great to see artists whom had worked with him before maintain that connection. It turned out Zhang Qi was also assigned to the same table and sat across from Xiao Zhan.

It’s great to see Xiao Zhan having a good time bopping to the music! He really really loves music and stage performances!

After Xiao Zhan finished his solo stage performance “The Past Follows the Wind”《往事随风》，It was awesome to see that Xiao Zhan was very happy and satisfied with the performance. He worked very hard preparing and he really delivered! Coming down the stage, a happy Xiao Zhan gave Ayunga, who was getting mic-ed, a hug and wished him a successful performance before leaving. On his way out, Xiao Zhan was greeted with more cheers by dancers involved in the show shouting 战哥！牛B! It’s great to see so many people appreciate Xiao Zhan’s talent. Zhan Zhan, you really did so well tonight! Good on ya! We are so proud and happy for you!

During Xiao Zhan’s solo number, “The Past Follows the Wind”《往事随风》, senior actor Huang XiaoMing and senior singer Wang LeeHom were both seen filming Xiao Zhan’s performance. Of course XFX would be all over weibo demanding both to release their personally shot clips.

And of course, both delivered! 😄

Xiao Zhan has been following her on Weibo since his university days so this can be counted as another successful star-chasing feat for Xiao Zhan.
