“A Dream Like A Dream” was staged in WuHan QinTai Grand Theatre from Apr 22-25, 2021, with the April 22 performance being a special invitation-only performance for the Covid-19 pandemic first responders and frontline workers to thank them for their courage and dedication to keeping their people safe and healing those who were infected. This stage was also Xiao Zhan’s debut stage and his first foray into a new artistic realm: live theatre. To celebrate this milestone in Xiao Zhan’s acting career and to wish him a smooth performance, both domestic and international XFX all sent red roses to QinTai Grand Theatre. There were so many red roses coming in everyday that it completely filled the entire square and became known as the flower sea—another XFX spectacle that attracted even passerbys to come and take pictures.
When the April 22 performance concluded, the cast gave heart-felt thanks to the first responders and frontline workers.

After the April 24 show, Xiao Zhan took a single red rose from his sea of roses and posted this to his Oasis. That evening, XFX came and helped distribute all the flowers to theatre goers and passerby and they also stayed to clean up the square. In the end, the people of WuHan each got to take home a bouquet of beautiful flowers.
