So polite, such a dedicated artist. I feel particularly good about such a good person. I have photographed a lot of young (artists). He is the one who gives me the best feeling. Just like when we were shooting in the alley that day, everyone saw the photo I posted where I was shooting up from below. That alley is a very cramped space. I sat on a small platform and kept switching cameras. There were not many people at the scene. After I finished shooting, I said OK, that’s it. Generally, artists would just say a thank you and leave directly. Xiao Zhan took the initiative to reach out and pull me up. It’s just a tiny detail, I feel this boy is so sincere and real. I feel these are things a lot of outsiders cannot see. I saw him for the whole year last year, from day to night shooting advertisements, how exhausted he must be. But he really wanted to be the best, most complete, and competent artist that he could be. I am particularly fond of Zhan Zhan, because I honestly think Xiao Zhan is a very good artist.

Because of work, I met Teacher Xiao twice. The first time was in 2017. On that day, another member of the group was interviewed first. As a result, due to various reasons, the interview lasted longer than expected. When it was his turn, it was actually more than ten minutes delayed from the scheduled time. Generally speaking, even if it is a consecutive interview, we will be ready and the staff will call him over. We didn’t expect as soon as the last interview ended, he immediately opened the door and came in without being called in Then we found out that he had arrived on time. At the door of the interview room, because he knew it was not over inside, he kept waiting at the door. When he came in, his face was not unhappy at all. Instead, he smiled and said to his bandmate, “Wow, you guyyys took a long time?” (Something like that, it’s been so long that I can’t remember clearly). After the interview, I asked if if we could take a photo together, and he agreed without even thinking about it. He smiled brightly and said, “Okay, okay.” He is really nice.
The second time I saw him was during The Untamed’s promotion period last year. Although I was only responsible for side shots that time, judging from his tone and attitude when talking to his colleagues, and his overall state, he was exactly the same as the last time I saw him, unchanged, honest, sunny, and cute.
Whether he is unknown or famous, he is still Xiao Zhan.
After saying so much, I actually just want to say that Teacher Xiao Zhan is really good and he deserves to be liked by everyone.
